New York’s economy is bigger than that of the majority of countries. What happens in New York matters for the whole planet, and of course for New Yorkers. But New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul is failing our families and kids. 

This year’s legislative session ended with a colossal betrayal: Kathy Hochul rolled back congestion pricing, failed to negotiate passage of the NY HEAT Act, and Hochul STILL hasn’t signed the Climate Change Superfund Act that has been on her desk since it passed in June! NY state is also behind on meeting its own goals for emission reductions and Hochul is backtracking on her commitments to fulfill the obligations in New York’s landmark climate law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. 

The climate emergency is here and we’re running out of time. As parents, we owe it to our kids to show up and tell Gov. Hochul that climate delay = climate denial, and she needs to protect families, not corporate polluters!
